Allen-Bradley DeviceNet Scanner for SLC supports DeviceNet pass through with firmware 4 and above. DeviceNet pass through is a convenient way to configure and debug DeviceNet. However, only 1746-SDN module with firmware 4.0 or above supports pass through (see article on how to upgrade 1746-SDN module’s firmware). Programmer should also set up the M0 and M1 file in the application to support DeviceNet pass through.
Steps to Set Up DeviceNet Pass Through
- DeviceNet Pass through M0 and M1 requirement
- Setup M0 and M1 file length to 361 for firmware 4 to 5
- Setup M0 and M1 file length to 395 for firmware 6 and above
- Browse DeviceNet through pass through
