A commercial laptop stand sells for more than $25. The one I purchased was too small for my laptop. My laptop may topple over if I push the number key too hard. So I looked around my house for material to make one myself. I found a section of Closetmate shelving. It was perfect for laptop stand. I capped off the rough ends with Closetmate end caps to protect my table from scratch. I added two Christmas light clips to prevent laptop from sliding down. For a total less than $10, I have a sturdy, functioning laptop stand.
