Introduction
VirtualBox is a cross platform emulation tool. It allows one operating system to run on other operating system. For example, you can run Windows XP as a guest operating system in Ubuntu. Most of the posts on Internet show steps in modifying aptitude sources then use apt (Advance Package Tool) to install it. However, below is the easiest way to install VirtualBox on Ubuntu 10.04.
Install VirtualBox in Ubuntu
- Visit VirtualBox download page with Firefox in your Ubuntu desktop.
- Click on appropriate VirtualBox package for your Ubuntu version. A pop up windows asks you either to Open the file or save the File. Click on the “Open with Deb Package Installer” starts the installation process.
That’s it.
