You can create a bookmark in Firefox or favorite in Internet Explorer to access your frequently visited web page. However, there is a quicker way to access a web page – Windows desktop shortcut. Double click on the shortcut starts up the application with the right web page.
Steps to Create Desktop Shortcut to web Page
- Open up your browser and use it to go to your web page.
- Create a favorite in Internet Explorer (or bookmark in Firefox)
- Right click on the just created favorite and select “Copy”
- Paste it on the Desktop.
- Now you have a shortcut pointing to the specific web page.
Alternative ways
After you create favorite (bookmark), you can drag it to your desktop.
